Frequently asked questions.

Q: Why should I choose Hearts and Hands Homecare for myself or a loved one?

A: Hearts & Hands provides one-on-one assistance that allows you or your loved one to remain in your current home. H&H prioritizes acquiring quality staff, completing thorough staff training and providing consistent oversight by an RN. The RN provides a holistic approach to care plans that is specific to the needs of each client. Hearts & Hands is Certified by The Alzheimer's Association.

Q: How much does the service cost?

A: Rates are dependent on the level of service needed. The range is between $32 and $38 per hour. (4-hour minimum per session, minimum of 12 hours per week)

Q: How do you select your caregivers?

A: We carefully select our caregivers through a thorough interviewing process with nationwide background screenings and reference checks. Our agency has a low turnover of staff. We have a higher-level quality of staff that we select.

Q: Do you guarantee that a caregiver will be available for every shift?

A: No, we do not guarantee availability. While H&H strives to maintain a pool of surplus caregivers who could fill in a shift in an emergency, it is not possible to guarantee a caregiver will be available and we strongly encourage families to have a contingency plan.

Q: Will I have a choice of who comes to my home?

A: Yes. We encourage you to communicate the qualities and attributes you are looking for in your caregiver. Also, our Nurse Liaison can help with this process during a Free, No obligation In-Home Assessment. We do our best to make the ideal match early in the process. Your satisfaction is important, so we always try to accommodate any requests you may have for a change in caregivers.

Q: How can I verify a shift was completed ?

A: Hearts & Hands Homecare uses multiple tools to track our caregivers. We use a combination of technology solutions to verify time and attendance. ADL’s are marked by the caregiver which are viewable by the responsible parties. Geofencing technology is utilized to clock caregivers in and out of shifts at the assigned home.
